With the slogan ‘Colour to Your Hearts Content’, that’s exactly what interior designers, specifiers and end users have been doing – six months have passed and the collection, which is totally manufactured at their Newhey facility, has been specified for a host of hospitality and leisure projects around the U.K.
Colortec+ Express is supported by a fully interactive online design tool allowing users to search designs, re-colour and view in a host of 3D room settings. The whole collection is based around providing clients with a fast and efficient service, which with the help of the website, users have direct access to over 60 designs and the ability to tailor specifically to each project, all at the touch of a button. Each design within the programme is illustrated in 10 versatile colour options providing a useful starting point to the re-colouring process. At this point Colortec Express really does differentiate itself from the competition, developed to remove colour limitations the programme offers an industry leading 290 standard shades to choose from. Once the re-colouring process is complete samples can be produced and despatched within 48 hours if required.
All Newhey’s products are manufactured with ‘evobac’, a unique combination of hot melt laminating and a 100% recycled secondary backing material, which creates an inseparable bond between primary cloth and secondary backing, making this product a smart sustainable choice.
Colortec+ is the next generation of carpet production using high speed patterned tufting technology, providing greater design and colour flexibility resulting in a cost effective, high performance and sustainable alternative to traditional woven carpet. Newhey’s marketing manager Emma Norman comments, “We use the same 80% wool/20% nylon yarn blends as used in traditional Axminster specifications which are spun and dyed using our established local supply chain, ensuring the quality and performance of the product meets all necessary British and European requirements. Tufted carpet accounts for over 90% of all carpet manufactured globally which is a fact we cannot ignore. We have never before offered a service with such scope to our clients, so bringing this programme to market has been a huge step forward for Newhey”.
