The hotel closed its doors for 3 months to undergo a £16 million refurbishment, whilst work was carried out to upgrade the guestrooms and to add a second restaurant called Blue Smoke on the Bay.
A new building containing 32 suites and studio rooms, a club lounge and a roof garden opened in Summer 2017.
Newhey worked alongside Interior Design Associates, based in the Midlands to create bespoke carpets for the Hazel Rooms which adopted a beautiful purple scroll with crushed velvet cushions and bedspread to add a touch of luxury. The Lime Room and Oak Suites feature a simple yet stylish fawn carpet with an ogee pattern. Newhey also supplied Patina, a stock collection carpet, for public areas.
Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa is now fully refurbished and is one of five hotels owned and run by English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues owners, the Berry family.
