As part of an ongoing refurbishment programme across the Thistle group of hotels our latest work has taken us just down the road to the Portland on Piccadilly Gardens. The 205 guestroom property, based in the heart of the city centre, is established as one of Manchester’s premier hotels for both business and pleasure.
Our involvement has included the supply of over 2,500m2 of guestroom carpet and 1,500m2 of heavy contract Colortec+ for the corridors. Working closely with the project interior designers, STS Design Ltd, we have developed brand standard corridor and guestroom patterns which over the past few months have been rolled out across other hotels within the group. For this particular project we have manufactured guestroom carpet at a bespoke width of 3m in effort to minimise waste and ensure our client completes their project efficiently, and most importantly with a little less carpet in the skip!
