Drayton Manor Park Hotel
Friday 26 Aug 2011
Working with Interior Designer John Pass Associates of Warwick, together with Halesowen based A & H Construction, Newhey have recently completed the manufacture and supply of over 5,000m2 of bespoke Colortec+ carpet for use in guestrooms and corridors at the new Drayton Manor Park Hotel.
The Hotel is set in a unique location amongst 280 acres of lakes and parkland that was once the home of Sir Robert Peel. The hotel offers 150 well appointed contemporary guest rooms including 11 Thomas & Friends themed rooms, and it was the themed rooms which presented our design and manufacturing team with their biggest challenge. The task set was to create a carpet which incorporated train tracks running through not only the centre of the entrance corridor but which also turned and led guests into each of the 11 bedrooms. The design needed to meet the requirements of our client but critically also had to turn the track into each room. This required careful and precise attention during planning, designing and manufacturing processes and we are pleased to say that this attention to detail has resulted in a huge success and what will hopefully provide a great deal of fun for the younger guests.
Standard, Executive & Superior rooms used a selection of colours from our current Maze stock collection manufactured to a standard Colortec+ guestroom quality. To complement the guestrooms the corridors used a fully bespoke feature design incorporating a central runner.
Another successfully completed project which illustrates fully the capabilities of our Colortec+ product.
